PRIVACY POLICY
BG IPTV Player is a local desktop player developed by Berk Güçlükol. It needs no account and collects no personal data.
STORED ON YOUR COMPUTER
Playlist names and addresses, Xtream account details, favorites, collections, watch history, settings and the playlist cache are stored only in the %LOCALAPPDATA%\BgIptvPlayer folder. None of it is sent to the developer or to any BG IPTV Player server.
BACKUP FILES
A .bgyedek file created under Settings → Backup is saved only where you choose. Because it contains playlist addresses and Xtream passwords, we recommend setting a password; encrypted backups are protected with AES-GCM and the password is never sent anywhere.
NETWORK CONNECTIONS
The app connects to the internet only to download the playlists and guides you add, play streams, show channel logos, fetch movie and series details from your Xtream provider, fetch details from TMDB for M3U content if you entered a TMDB key, check for and download new versions from bgiptvplayer.net, and, if the counter is on, send an anonymous usage signal once a day. The update check only requests the version file; no personal information is sent. Versions 1.8.0 and earlier run this check through GitHub.
ANONYMOUS USAGE COUNTER
From version 1.10.0, so we can see how many people use it, the app sends an anonymous signal to Umami running on our own server at most once a day, at startup. The signal contains only the app version, interface language and Windows version. Your playlists, channels, watch history, account or device ID are never sent. Your IP address is not stored; it is used only momentarily to derive the country and count unique users per day. The counter is introduced with a notice the first time the app starts and can be switched off in one click under Settings → Privacy.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Playlist providers, stream and logo servers, TMDB, Cloudflare (which serves the website and downloads) and your internet service provider may see technical data such as your IP address. Their own privacy policies apply; BG IPTV Player does not receive or control that data.
DATA SHARING
BG IPTV Player does not share, sell or rent personal information to the developer or to third parties. The app has no ads or user tracking; the only exception is the anonymous, opt-out usage counter described above.
DELETING YOUR DATA
You can remove playlists from the Settings screen. To delete all local data, close the app and delete the %LOCALAPPDATA%\BgIptvPlayer folder.
WEBSITE STATISTICS
To see how many people visit and click the download buttons, this website keeps statistics with Umami running on our own server. No cookies are used, your IP address is not stored and nothing that identifies you is kept; only aggregate details such as the page, country, device type and referring site are recorded. This data is not shared with third parties. The app’s own counter is described above.
